Life doesn’t always go as planned – and that’s exactly what happened with our founder, Ginisha Gulecha Jain.

A physiotherapist by profession, Ginisha moved to the Blue City of Jodhpur after marriage. During COVID, while exploring her new city for business opportunities, she stumbled upon Jodhpur’s famous leather industry.

As a handbag lover, she was fascinated to meet small-scale artisans creating gorgeous leather goods – and the most eye-catching of all were the traditional Jodhpuri mojaris.

But as she dug deeper, she learned about the cruelty behind leather making – the exploitation of animals shook her to the core. She initially started an awareness page on veganism, but soon realised – “Instead of just talking about the problem, why not be the solution?”

That’s when she discovered something heartbreaking – mojari-making artisans were vanishing, and this age-old art form was losing its place to modern footwear.

And that’s where the idea sparked!
